Saiyaara fame Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda became household names ever since their movie became a huge hit. The film minted money like anything and reached the second spot among 2025’s highest-grossing movies. Though this was not Aneet’s debut, it did bring her the fame she truly deserved. While today the actress is basking in the success of her movie, things were not always like this. In an interview, she revealed that when she first wanted to pursue acting, her parents were not really supportive of it.

During the COVID period, Aneet was desperately looking for work. Unaware that casting agencies handle auditions and roles for actors, she sent her biodata to numerous websites without checking their authenticity.

During a chat with Cosmopolitan, Aneet recalled, “Almost every production house in the Hindi film industry has my audition tape, a terrible biodata, and Snapchat filter pictures.”

In the same interview, she also recalled sending emails to 50–70 production companies out of desperation during the COVID period. Later, she realised that casting agencies negotiate on behalf of the actors.

“I was never a casual cinema-goer,” she shared.

However, she said that neither her friends nor her father was initially okay with her choosing this career. “For the longest time, I told myself, ‘You are so silly for even wanting to do anything about this.’ I stopped dreaming for a while,” Aneet said.

Aneet Padda’s Career

Before featuring in a hit film, Aneet was also part of Revathi’s slice-of-life drama Salaam Venky, which featured Kajol and Vishal Jethwa in lead roles. She also appeared in the series Big Girls Don’t Cry, which was released on Amazon Prime.
