‘Asim Munir and ISI Chief will be responsible if…’: What did Imran Khan tell his sister during the meeting?

New Delhi: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister, Uzma Khanum, met with him on Tuesday, 02 December 2025. The meeting took place in Adiala Jail, where she spoke with him for about 20 minutes. Following the meeting, Uzma Khanum stated that while Imran Khan is physically healthy, he is being mentally tortured. Following this, Imran Khan’s party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), issued a statement detailing Uzma’s conversation with Khan. In the conversation, Imran Khan levelled serious allegations against the Pakistani Army, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and the intelligence agency, the ISI.

Imran Khan held in a cell similar to a death sentence

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) says that Imran Khan has been arbitrarily detained. The party alleges that the “dictatorial military regime under General Asim Munir” has violated the UN Mandela Protocol, and he is being held in a facility similar to the one used for prisoners who are sentenced to death. Family and lawyers are being prevented from meeting him. Even the electricity in his cell has been cut off.

If anything happens to me, Munir and the ISI Chief will be responsible: Imran

After meeting Uzma, Imran Khan said, “The army has done everything they can against me. Now they have no choice but to kill me.” He said, “The ISI controls all administrative matters related to my detention. I repeat: If anything happens to me, the Army Chief and the DG ISI will be responsible.” He also said, “I am being held in solitary confinement. My cell is as hot as an oven. I am not allowed to talk to my children. I am receiving the same facilities as a death row prisoner.”

Asim Munir is mentally ill: Imran

Imran said, “I was locked in a cage, tortured, and treated worse than animals. The electricity in my cell was cut off for five days. I was kept locked in the cell for 10 days. If anything happens to me in prison, Asim Munir will be responsible.” He targeted Pakistani Army Chief and Field Marshal Asim Munir, saying, “Asim Munir is the most brutal dictator in history and is mentally unstable. The level of oppression under his rule is unparalleled. Asim Munir will do anything to satisfy his lust for power.”
