The entertainment world woke up to shocking news as actor Kamaal R. Khan was arrested. As per reports, the actor was arrested in the Lokhandwala society firing case. Known for his controversies, KRK was taken into custody by the Mumbai Police in connection with an incident in which shots were allegedly fired inside a residential complex in Andheri West.

What Led to the Incident

The incident came to attention on Saturday afternoon when two residents of Nalanda Society, located on Lokhandwala Back Road, heard loud sounds that they suspected were gunshots. Later, they went to Oshiwara police to inform them about the incident.

Soon, police team rushed to the spot for inspection. Later, considering the seriousness of the situation, officials from the State Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Kalina, were also called to examine the site.

Forensic Investigation Underway

As per the inspection, two projectiles were found lying on the second and fourth floors of the building. Impact marks were also discovered on the walls and a wooden case, further hinting that firing had taken place inside the society premises.

The forensic team took custody of the projectiles for further analysis. At that time, it was not immediately clear whether the objects were bullets fired from a firearm or pellets discharged from an air gun. Forensic tests are being carried out to determine the nature of the weapon used.

Police Record Statements, Scan CCTV Footage

Several society residents are also being interrogated to understand the situation. CCTV footage from the surrounding areas is also being examined to get a better perspective.

Most residents of the building belong to middle-class families, and the incident caused panic among them, even though no casualties or injuries were reported.

KRK Arrested and Interrogated

Actor Kamaal R Khan was arrested by the Mumbai Police on Saturday in connection with the firing incident. Officials confirmed that he is currently being interrogated to ascertain the motive behind the act. Investigators are trying to determine whether the firing was deliberate, accidental, or carried out with some other intent.

Legal Proceedings Ahead

Oshiwara police stated that KRK will be produced before a local court. The next course of legal action will depend on the findings of the forensic examination and the outcome of the questioning.
