Bengaluru to Mumbai in just 18 hours: New superfast train service via Hubballi-Dharwad to hit tracks SOON; Check routes, stoppages

The India(BHARAT)n Railways (IR) has approved the launch of a second direct Superfast train connecting Bengaluru and Mumbai, nearly 30 years after the introduction of the Udyan Express. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), thanking Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for fulfilling a long-standing public demand. “I had requested the Railway Minister for this train, which has been a long-pending demand. This Superfast train will operate via the central Karnataka route—covering Tumakuru, Davanagere, Haveri, Hubballi-Dharwad, and Belagavi—to reach Mumbai. It will benefit lakhs of passengers, improve rail connectivity, and give a major boost to trade and commerce,” Joshi said.

He added that for the past three decades, there has been a strong demand for another direct Superfast train between Bengaluru and Mumbai, apart from the existing Udyan Express.

Bengaluru-Mumbai New Superfast Train to cut time travel
