3.7 crore voters decide electoral fate of 1,302 candidates

In this phase, 3.7 crore voters will decide the electoral fate of 1,302 candidates, including several ministers in the Nitish Kumar government.

Bihar recorded the “highest ever” voter turnout of over 65 per cent in the polling across 121 constituencies in the first phase of the assembly elections on November 6. Votes of both phases will be counted on November 14.

Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha said people are “blessing the double-engine government’s Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas mantra by pressing the vote button”.

“The record of 2010 will be broken, and the NDA will win with a heavy majority,” he claimed.

Targeting opposition leaders, he said, “Those who tried to dismantle social harmony by playing caste cards and spoiled the environment of the state through sleeper cells, will get a slap on their face.”
