‘Bihar rejected RJD’s package of lies’: PM Modi to Opposition after Bihar’s phase-1 polling

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the record voter turnout in Bihar’s Phase-1 polling highlights that the state’s people have taken the lead in ensuring the return of the NDA government. He added that the public of Bihar has opposed the opposition’s ‘package of lies.’ PM Modi stated this at a rally in Aurangabad. He said that the state has experienced the highest voter turnout this time and that almost 65 per cent of voters turned out in Phase 1, which demonstrates that people want the NDA government to return securely.

What did PM Modi say about the opposition in Bihar?

Narendra Modi took a dig at the opposition and said that even the Congress party has no faith in the promises of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) as it doesn’t mention its manifestos. He added that the state has rejected RJD’s package of lies, too. He highlighted the trust and support of voters on his track record and said that from the Phase 1 voting in Bihar, it’s confirmed, ‘Phir ek baar, NDA sarkar,’ meaning, ‘Once again, NDA government.’

PM Modi on ‘Jungle Raaj’ in Bihar

Modi compared the condition of Bihar to the previous polling times and said, “We saw the difference between Sushasan and Jungle Raj. Every section of the state voted without any obstacles in Bihar. There was a jungle raj time when polling booths were looted, bullets were fired, bombs were blasted, and the Dalits’ voices were unheard and suppressed. The people of Jungle Raj are struggling, but I appreciate the Election Commission for conducting Phase 1 in a smooth manner.”

Phase 2 of the Bihar elections is scheduled to take place on November 11.
