Breaking: 2 Dead, several injured after concrete blocks collapse at Bullet Train construction site in Gujarat
Concrete blocks collapsed at a construction site of the bullet train project in Anand, today. Rescue operations are underway.
Anand: In a tragic incident, no longer lower than two workers were dead and one became injured on the bullet train construction websites in Gujarat’s Anand on Tuesday evening, news agency ANI reported. The incident came about after concrete blocks collapsed on the event websites of the bullet train project. A couple of workers are feared trapped below the debris. Officials from the bullet train project, along with police and the fire brigade, rushed to the spot after receiving the guidelines and started the rescue operation.

The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited confirmed the accident, mentioning that as many as three labourers are trapped below the debris.
“Today evening at Mahi River, on the event websites of the bullet train project, three labourers were trapped between concrete blocks. The rescue operation is in progress the usage of cranes and excavators. One labourer has been rescued and is convalescing within the sanatorium,” National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited stated.

Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor
Out of the general 20 river bridges planned for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor in Gujarat, the event of 12 bridges has been completed as per The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL). Construction of a 120-meter-long bridge over the Kharela River in Navsari district became recently completed.
The Track Spans 508 Kms
It truly is miles worth noting that the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor stretches 508 kms, with 352 kms in Gujarat state and remainder of the 156 kms in Maharashtra. The project includes plans for 12 stations, including – Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Ahmedabad, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Nadiad, and Sabarmati.
A rescue operation is underway.
