New Delhi: Owing to the heavy rain alert, the Uttarakhand executive on Sunday suspended the Char Dham Yatra for the next 24 hours. The executive has issued instructions to end the pilgrims in Haridwar amid India Meteorological Division’s (IMD) orange alert for heavy rains.
“Char Dham Yatra has been suspended for the next 24 hours in peep of the heavy rain alert. Directions had been given to the police and administration officers to end the pilgrims in Haridwar,” ANI quoted Garhwal Division Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey as asserting.
