The capital, Chennai, and other parts of the state received heavy rainfall. People witnessed waterlogging on Poonamallee High Road (EVR Periyar Salai) near the Egmore area of Chennai as Cyclone Fengal intensified.
The authorities have advised most of the people to now not consult with beaches in Puducherry to boot as in Tamil Nadu’s Chennai, including Marina Sea coast, Pattinapakkam and Edward Elliot Sea coast. The tourist spots in Puducherry have been closed as a precautionary measure, as a consequence of the upcoming cyclone Fengal.
