What was even more heartbreaking was that this replacement came from Shah Rukh Khan’s company, whom he has always idolised and called his inspiration.

When Diljit Dosanjh replaced Divya Kumar

Divya Kumar claimed that he had originally sung the viral track “Tainu Ki Pata” for Aryan Khan’s The Bads of Bollywood, but his version was eventually replaced. He said, “I had received a great opportunity from Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. It was for Aryan Khan’s Bads of Bollywood,” Kumar told Digital Commentary. The singer added, “I had originally sung Tainu Ki Pata.” But later he was replaced by him, He said. “Later, they replaced it with Diljit Dosanjh’s voice. I had tears in my eyes when I was sitting in his (Shah Rukh Khan’s) office,”

Why did Divya Kumar deny compensation?

Even though the production house reportedly offered him a large compensation for the change, Divya refused to accept it. “They offered me an insane amount of money to compensate, but I refused to take it. I rejected the money because it was Shah Rukh’s company,” he revealed.

Speaking about why he denied the compensation, Divya shared that it stemmed from his admiration for the superstar. “It was SRK who made me. I was inspired by him,” he told Digital Commentary. He further said, “I would go outside Mannat and cry my heart out every time I faced a rejection. He gave me the strength to move forward.” To him, Shah Rukh wasn’t just an actor but an inspiration. Kumar called him the “divine energy” that helped shape his journey.
