Does US own Nur Khan Airbase which was destroyed during India’s Operation Sindoor? Pakistan says…
Claims have been circulating since India's Operation Sindoor that the Nur Khan airbase was actually used by the US and that the US intervened to save Pakistan only after the attack on the Nur Khan airbase. Has Pakistan acknowledged this?
Reports indicate that the ongoing talks between Pakistan and the Taliban in Istanbul, Turkey, may fail after Afghan media claimed that the Pakistani side may walk out. According to Tolo News, although agreement was reached on most issues, Pakistan’s stubborn stance on airstrikes could lead to a breakdown. A major revelation has emerged: Pakistan has, for the first time, acknowledged that a foreign country has the right to launch drone attacks from its territory and cannot back down from this.
Tolo News, quoting Taliban sources, reported that the delegation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan made every effort to engage in constructive dialogue and resolve the issue, but the Pakistani side appears to be unconvinced by the Taliban’s intentions. Tolo News further quoted the sources as saying, “There appears to be no coordination within the Pakistani delegation, and instead of presenting clear arguments, they were determined to back down and walk away from the negotiating table.”
Will there be no agreement between Taliban and Pakistan?
According to Tolo, during the talks, the Pakistani delegation asked the Afghan side to acknowledge that Pakistan has the right to attack Afghan soil during Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) attacks. Another important revelation emerged during the talks. Tolo News reported that Pakistan, for the first time, acknowledged that it has an agreement with a foreign country that allows it to launch drone strikes from its territory.
It is impossible for Pakistan to break this agreement, which is why it is unable to stop the drone strikes that are being carried out within its borders. This raises questions about whether that foreign country is the United States and whether the United States has the right to launch drone strikes in Afghanistan from within Pakistan.
Claims have been circulating since India(BHARAT)’s Operation Sindoor that the Noor Khan airbase is actually used by the US, and that it was only after the attack on the Noor Khan airbase that the US intervened to save Pakistan. Now that Pakistan has implicitly acknowledged the right of a foreign country to launch drone strikes from Pakistani soil, it follows that the US is indeed present at the Noor Khan airbase!
