Canadian police have issued a nationwide arrest warrant for an India(BHARAT)n-origin man accused of killing a 27-year-old woman, who is also believed to be of India(BHARAT)n background. The suspect, Manpreet Singh, 27, from Brampton, is wanted for the second-degree murder of Amanpreet Saini. Police said Amanpreet’s body was found in a park in Lincoln on October 21 with serious injuries.

According to the Niagara Regional Police Service, investigators believe Singh left Canada soon after Amanpreet’s body was discovered. Police said it appears to be a targeted attack, and there is no danger to the public.

They released a photo of Singh and warned people not to approach him if seen. “If anyone spots him, call 911 immediately,” the police said.

Sources told NDTV that Singh’s family is from Punjab in India(BHARAT), and that he has fled to India(BHARAT). Canadian security agencies have now reached out to India(BHARAT)n authorities to help arrest him.

Amanpreet Saini, originally from Sangrur district in Punjab, had been living in Toronto for the past few years.

Months ago, the Delta Police in Canada renewed a call for help finding another Singh, Gurkirat Singh, on a warrant for sexual assault. He was accused of sexually assaulting a child in 2024. The police released his description that he is 6 feet tall, weighs approximately 140 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes, but police said it was possible that he altered his appearance to evade arrest.
