Donald Trump asks Supreme Court to allow him to end birthright citizenship
The Justice Department has requested to contest the extent of three nationwide injunctions imposed by federal courts in Washington, Massachusetts, and Maryland against Trump's order.
In a significant switch, the Trump administration on Thursday (local time) has filed emergency appeals within the US Supreme Court asking it to permit restrictions on birthright citizenship to be applied partially whereas proper disputes are ongoing.
