Donald Trump’s BIG action on this country! Imposes fresh sanctions on 4 Venezuelan oil firms, states, ‘Will not allow the illegitimate…’

The United States Department of the Treasury on Wednesday (local time) imposed sanctions on four companies operating in Venezuela’s oil sector and identified four oil tankers as blocked property, as per an official release. The sanctions are an extension of the United States’ previous efforts to increase pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Sanctions announced on Wednesday imposed new restrictions on four companies, as well as their associated oil tankers, that have been accused of facilitating the transportation of Venezuelan oil.

“These vessels, some of which are part of the shadow fleet serving Venezuela, continue to provide financial resources that fuel Maduro’s illegitimate narco-terrorist regime.  Maduro’s regime increasingly depends on a shadow fleet of worldwide vessels to facilitate sanctionable activity, including sanctions evasion, and to generate revenue for its destabilizing operations,” reads the press release published by the United States Department of the Treasury.

“President Trump has been clear: We will not allow the illegitimate Maduro regime to profit from exporting oil while it floods the United States with deadly drugs,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. The press release added, “The Treasury Department will continue to implement President Trump’s campaign of pressure on Maduro’s regime.”

According to Trump, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is the leader of a “Narco-terrorist Regime” whose objective is to destabilise the United States. Moreover, he stated the same in the announcement of new sanctions. The press release mentioned, “Maduro’s regime increasingly depends on a shadow fleet of worldwide vessels to facilitate sanctionable activity, including sanctions evasion, and to generate revenue for its destabilising operations. Today’s action further signals that those involved in the Venezuelan oil trade continue to face significant sanctions risks.”

• NORD STAR (IMO: 9323596), whose registered owner is Corniola Limited and whose ship manager and operator is Krape Myrtle Co LTD, has transported Venezuelan oil. OFAC is designating Corniola Limited and Krape Myrtle Co LTD pursuant to E.O. 13850 for operating in the oil sector of the Venezuelan economy and is identifying NORD STARas blocked property in which Corniola Limited and Krape Myrtle Co LTD have an interest.
• ROSALIND a.k.a. LUNAR TIDE (IMO: 9277735), whose registered owner is Winky International Limited, has transported Venezuelan oil. OFAC is designating Winky International Limited pursuant to E.O. 13850 for operating in the oil sector of the Venezuelan economy and is identifying ROSALIND as blocked property in which Winky International Limited has an interest.
• DELLA (IMO: 9227479), whose registered owner is Aries Global Investment LTD, has transported Venezuelan oil.  OFAC is designating Aries Global Investment LTD pursuant to E.O. 13850 for operating in the oil sector of the Venezuelan economy and is identifying DELLA and VALIANT (IMO: 9409247), another oil tanker, as blocked property in which Aries Global Investment LTD has an interest.

Petroleum is the largest foreign export for Venezuela but, since taking power, the government of Doland Trump has attempted to eliminate Venezuela’s access to international markets by restricting exports through sanctions.

On Wednesday, four shipping vessels – Nord Star, Rosalind, Valiant, and Della – were cited in a notice provided on December 31 that stated they assisted Venezuela with circumventing the current financial sanctions against its oil industry resulting in the continued provision of financial support for the ‘Narco-Terrorist Regime’ of Nicolás Maduro.

Earlier, President Trump ordered “a total and complete” blockade of all US-sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela. According to a post via Truth Social, President Doland Trump wrote, “Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled in the History of South America. It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the United States of America all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us.”
