FIR filled against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina over ‘India’s Got Latent’ content

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday stated that Guwahati Police has registered an FIR towards approved protest material creators, at the side of Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and others, for allegedly promoting obscenity and and partaking in sexually explicit and impolite discussion in a designate titled ‘India’s Got Latent’

Taking to social media, the Assam chief minister acknowledged, “At the sleek time @GuwahatiPol has registered an FIR towards towards obvious Youtubers and social Influencers, namely 1. Shri Ashish Chanchlani 2. Shri Jaspreet Singh 3. Shri Apoorva Makhija 4. Shri Ranveer Allahbadia 5. Shri Samay Raina and others for promoting obscenity and partaking in sexually explicit and impolite discussion in a designate titled ‘ India’s Got Latent’

“Guwahati Crime Branch has registered a case vide Cyber PS case no 03/2025 below sections – 79/95/294/296 of BNS 2023 learn witb Sec 67 of IT Act, 2000, learn with Allotment 4/7 of Cinematograph Act 1952 learn with Allotment 4/6 of Horrible Representation of Girls folk (Prohibition) Act, 1986 . Investigation is for the time being underway,” added the assertion.

Within the period in-between, Bhartiya Influencers Association in style secretary Neelkant Bakshi has strongly condemned comments of YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, assuredly identified as BeerBiceps, on a reality comedy designate terming them “disgustingly impolite” and “beyond any shreds of decency”.

In a post on X, Neelkant Bakshi stated he is shy over the comments and Allahbadia has “confirmed his loyal colors”.

“A social media influencer, @BeerBicepsGuy has confirmed his loyal colors by his disgustingly impolite comments on a comedy designate which is in style on Social Media, within the garb of freedom of speech. Here's beyond any shreds of decency.

As the in style secretary of Bhartiya Influencers Association, I am shy and strongly condemn his comments,” Bakshi stated.

The “offensive” remarks of Allahbadia, throughout the YouTube episode of the designate ‘India’s purchased Latent’ have drawn in style criticism. Following the outrage, Allahbadia on Monday apologized for his ” remarks, terming them “negative” and “insensitive”.

Allahbadia shared a one-minute video on his X tale apologising for his comments on the designate. “I shouldn’t have stated what I stated on India’s purchased latent. I’m sorry,” he wrote.
