Former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on target of Pakistan’s ISI, security beefed up in Bhopal and Delhi

New Delhi: The security of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been increased. The decision was taken after inputs from the Home Ministry. The Union Home Ministry has sent a letter to the MP DGP stating that Shivraj Singh Chouhan is the target of Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI, and ISI is gathering information related to Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Heavy Deployment At Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s Residence
Police have erected additional barricades around Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s B-8 residence at 74 Bungalows in Bhopal. Security has also been increased at his official residence in Delhi. Information has been received that the ISI is showing interest in Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He already had Z+ security, but now his security has been further enhanced.
Immediately after receiving the input, local police and security agencies strengthened Chouhan’s security ring in both cities. Increased security was seen outside his Bhopal bungalow late Friday night.
Home Ministry Issues Strict Orders
The Home Ministry has ordered the concerned agencies and the DGP of Madhya Pradesh to ensure there is no security lapse. The Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh has also been asked to remain on high alert. Instructions have also been issued to the Special Commissioner (Security) of Delhi Police.
Why Is ISI Targeting Shivraj Singh Chouhan?
According to the Home Ministry’s letter regarding the increased security, the ISI has shown interest in gathering information about Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The security arrangements of the Union Minister have been reviewed with the advice of the central security agency. The letter states that security arrangements should be appropriately adjusted to prevent any untoward incident.
How Many Commandos Are Deployed For Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s Security?
Shivraj Singh Chouhan already has Z+ category security, which is considered the highest level of security in the country. However, there is no information available yet regarding the number of personnel deployed for his security after the agencies’ inputs. However, under Z+ security, approximately 55 trained security personnel are deployed, including NSG commandos.
