When does the Ganesh Chaturthi festival start?

Every year, Ganesh Chaturthi starts from the Chaturthi Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month. Whereas, the idol of Lord Ganesha is immersed on Chaturdashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. The ten-day Ganesh Mahotsav is celebrated with great pomp across the country.

When is Hartalika Teej celebrated?

Every year Hartalika Teej is celebrated on the Tritiya Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month. Ganesh Mahotsav starts the next day. This year, Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start on 25th August at 12:34 pm. Whereas, Tritiya Tithi will end on 26th August at 01:54 pm. If astrologers and Vedacharyas are to be believed, Hartalika Teej will be celebrated on 26th August.

When will Chaurchan be celebrated?

Chaurchan is celebrated every year on the Chaturthi Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month. This festival is celebrated with great pomp in Bihar. According to Maithili Panchang, Chaurchan dedicated to Chandra Dev will be celebrated on 26th August. On this auspicious occasion, Chandra Dev is worshipped in the evening.

When will the Ganesh festival start?

In Sanatan Dharma, except for Nisha Kaal Puja, the date is calculated from sunrise in all other pujas. For this, the calculation will be done from Udaya Tithi on Ganesh Chaturthi. Thus, Ganesh Mahotsav will start from 27th August. At the same time, the idol of Ganeshji will be immersed on 06th September.
