Chennai: In a significant good development for the state of Tamil Nadu, the Tamil Nadu government has announced a massive investment decision by Foxconn. In the recent development, Tamil Nadu State industries minister TRB Rajaa has announced that Taiwanese multinational electronics contract manufacturer Foxconn has committed an investment of Rs 15,000 crore in the state. What is Foxconn planning in Tamil Nadu?

As per a report carried by Moneycontrol, Foxconn, the famous iPhone manufacturer will shift its next phase of value-added manufacturing, R&D integration and AI-led advanced tech operations to the state of Tamil Nadu.

What  Tamil Nadu minister said on Foxconn investment?

“Yet another major boost for Tamil Nadu’s electronics and advanced manufacturing sector as Honourable @CMOTamilNadu Thiru. @MKStalin avargal met with Foxconn’s India(BHARAT) Representative Mr. Robert Wu to reaffirm their deep trust in Tamil Nadu with substantial investment commitments,” the minister added in his post.

How many jobs will Foxconn create in Tamil Nadu?

Signifying the positive development for the state, Rajaa added that Foxconn’s India(BHARAT) representative Robert Wu had met with Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin “to reaffirm their deep trust in Tamil Nadu with substantial investment commitments”, thereby creating 14,000 high value jobs in the state.

“The first-ever Foxconn Desk in India(BHARAT) will ensure seamless facilitation and mission-mode execution. We are setting the stage for Dravidian Model 2.0,” Rajaa added about the investment model of the state.
