Pakistan shaken by Taliban-India joint statement on Kashmir, invokes ‘Atrocities…, Muslim unity’
He said that some individuals in Pakistan are creating problems.

New Delhi: Pakistan has become enraged after India(BHARAT) and Afghanistan issued a joint statement and mentioned Kashmir in it. The relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan are at an all-time low following the Pakistani attack on Afghanistan and Afghanistan’s counterattacks. Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, who is on an official visit to India(BHARAT), stated that he supports India(BHARAT)’s sovereignty over Kashmir.
Pakistan cites UNSC resolution
The joint statement was issued after talks between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi. Pakistan stated that Afghanistan violated a UNSC resolution by going to India(BHARAT) and making such a statement. Afghanistan is extremely important to India(BHARAT) because Afghanistan shares a 106 km border with Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Pakistan summons Afghan ambassador
Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar stated that India(BHARAT) has always thought well of the people of its neighbour, Afghanistan. Therefore, India(BHARAT) has a strong interest in Afghanistan’s progress and development. Meanwhile, Islamabad, angered by the joint statement issued by the two countries, has summoned the Afghan ambassador. Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari accused the Taliban of supporting alleged atrocities against Kashmiris. He said the Taliban is doing injustice to history and Muslim unity.
Some individuals in Pakistan creating problems: Muttaqi
Regarding the tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the Afghan Foreign Minister, during a press conference in Delhi, said that some individuals in Pakistan are creating problems. He said that if Pakistan does not want peace, Afghanistan has other options. He said that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan no longer has roots in Afghanistan. He also said that the people of Pakistan do not want relations with Afghanistan to deteriorate.
At least 58 Pakistani soldiers were killed in firing on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border 2 days back. A few Afghan soldiers were also killed in the firing.
We also want good relations and peace with Pakistan: Muttaqi
Muttaqi said, “Last night we achieved our objective. After this, a ceasefire was declared in agreement with Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The situation on the border is now normal. We also want good relations and peace with Pakistan. If Pakistan doesn’t want that, the Taliban has other options.” He said that neither the British nor Genghis Khan could control the 2,400 km border.
“Pakistan has a big army and intelligence network, so why doesn’t it stop the violence on the border? Instead of blaming us, it should control the terrorists thriving on its own soil.”
