Gujarat, Haryana, and Rajasthan belong to Pakistan: Pakistani minister
While delivering a speech in the Sindh Assembly, he staked claim to India's Gujarat, Haryana, and Rajasthan.
New Delhi: Pakistan is infuriated by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement regarding Sindh. Not only the Pakistani government but also politicians there are spewing venom against India(BHARAT). This includes Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Education Minister of Pakistan’s Sindh province. While delivering a speech in the Sindh Assembly, he staked claim to India(BHARAT)’s Gujarat, Haryana, and Rajasthan. He also sang the Kashmir tune and declared it part of Pakistan.
What did the Pakistani politician say?
Syed Sardar Ali Shah said in the Sindh Assembly, “Don’t make statements from Delhi or Bombay. There are no Maratha speakers here. Our speakers are there. We can claim that Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Haryana are our part. Historically, they should be given to us. We can take them back tomorrow. Kashmir has been our part, we have always spoken about it in the resolution. Kashmir is part of the Valley of Sindh. Today, the Valley of Sindh is in Pakistan.”
What did Rajnath Singh say?
Addressing the Sindhi community in New Delhi, Rajnath Singh said that borders could change and Sindh could rejoin India(BHARAT). He said, “Advani ji has written in one of his books that Sindhi Hindus, especially those of his generation, still have not been able to accept the separation of Sindh from India(BHARAT).” He said, “Not only in Sindh, but throughout India(BHARAT), Hindus considered the Indus River sacred. Many Muslims in Sindh also believed that the water of the Indus River was no less sacred than the Zamzam (the most sacred water) of Mecca.”
Rajnath Singh said, “This is Advani ji’s statement. Today, the land of Sindh may not be part of India(BHARAT), but from a civilizational perspective, Sindh will always be a part of India(BHARAT). As far as land is concerned, boundaries can change. Who knows, tomorrow Sindh may return to India(BHARAT). Our people of Sindh, who consider the Indus River sacred, will always be our own. No matter where they live, they will always be ours.”
Pakistan expressed strong objection
Pakistan strongly objected to Rajnath Singh’s statement on Sindh. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry called it provocative and aggressive. Furthermore, Pakistan also raised the Kashmir issue during this period.
