About War 2

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 serves as the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War and is the sixth chapter in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe, following Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3. Produced by YRF’s Aditya Chopra, the film released in theatres on August 14, 2025.

Hrithik returned as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, while Jr NTR appeared as the fierce agent Vikram, marking his first Hindi film. The cast also included Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana, Anil Kapoor, and Varun Badola. Though War 2 was expected to be a major box office event and opened well initially, it soon lost momentum.
