Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal celebrate Haldi ceremony, new pics break internet

Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana are set to tie the knot on November 23. A new picture from Smriti’s Haldi ceremony, held today, has now surfaced online. Her teammates are expected to take part in the wedding festivities.

Palash Muchhal Proposes to Smriti Mandhana

Ahead of their wedding, Palash shared a video on Instagram where he is seen proposing to Smriti Mandhana. The video begins with Palash and Smriti walking into the DY Patil Stadium. Smriti’s eyes are covered with a cloth, and as soon as she removes it, Palash gets down on one knee and proposes with a bouquet of roses and a diamond ring. Overwhelmed, Smriti is seen tearing up with joy. The video ends with Smriti placing the ring on Palash’s finger, and the couple proudly showing off their rings together.

Background

Speculation about their relationship intensified earlier in October when Palash, during an event at the state press club, remarked about Smriti, “She will soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore… that’s all I want to say.”

Smriti recently played a key role in India(BHARAT)’s historic ICC Women’s ODI World Cup triumph—the team’s first-ever world title. With 5,322 runs in 117 ODIs, she is India(BHARAT)’s second-highest run-scorer after Mithali Raj.

Palash, who has often celebrated India(BHARAT)’s win on social media, also shared photos with Smriti and the World Cup trophy. In one caption, he wrote, “Am I still dreaming?”
