The Cyberabad police nabbed iBomma founder Immadi Ravi in connection with piracy case.
Hyderabad: In a major breakthrough, the Cyberabad police have nabbed iBomma founder Immadi Ravi on Friday night in connection with movie piracy case. A team of police nabbed Ravi as soon as he landed in Hyderabad from France. As per a report by Deccan Chronicle, Immadi Ravi was allegedly running the website, which provides pirated Bollywood and Telugu movies, from the Caribbean islands.
It is to be noted that the Cyberabad police took action after several film producers filed cases against the website. The movie producers alleged that the website uploads movies on the release day, causing them significant financial losses.
Cops were also receiving complaints against iBomma for uploading pirated films. As per investigators, the film industry suffered huge loses due to the pirated movies circulated on several online platforms.
