Motivational stories inspire, elevate, and change lives. They illustrate how an individual can overcome incredible obstacles, confront failures, and find opportunity in obstacles. Whether we read or listen to an inspirational story, we walk away with applicable ideas and strategies that motivate us for our own pursuits. They remind us that perseverance, hard work, and a positive attitude can result in success, however hard the road may be. They are sources of hope and encouragement and a reminder that we, too, can find greatness.
Heartfulness Meditation is practiced in more than 160 countries, allowing individuals to pursue semblances of balance in their hearts and minds in a very simple and powerful way. It provides “relaxation”, “guided meditation”, and “deep cleaning of the mind” while bringing feelings of “clarity”, “calmness”, and “harmony” into daily life. The global movement and its work are managed by the able leadership of Shri Kamlesh D. Patel (Daaji) – a Padma Bhushan awardee, whose contributions have been essential in the popularization of personal growth and collective well-being through meditation.
Shri Tarun Parmar, a software engineer from Ahmedabad and committed practitioner of Heartfulness meditation, set out on an incredible cycling journey of 1,700 km: to create awareness of meditation and to contribute to the Government of India(BHARAT)’s “Nasha-Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” (Drug-Free India(BHARAT) Campaign).
The journey commenced on September 13 from Noida and finishes on September 26 at Kanha Shanti Vanam in Hyderabad, aligning with the celebrations of Daaji’s birthday. Over two weeks, Shri Tarun Parmar will be biking almost 140 km a day, traversing seven states and important cities, such as Mathura (Kanha Janmabhoomi), before reaching Heartfulness Headquarters in Hyderabad.
The program “Cycling Journey for Heartfulness and Nasha Mukt Bharat” focuses on both inner transformation through meditation, but also the shared vision of a drug-free India(BHARAT). When sharing his vision, Shri Tarun Parmar said, “Cycling and meditation are my two great passions. True transformation begins within, and I wish to motivate others to embrace meditation and healthier, addiction-free lives.” His initiative illustrates how personal practice can develop into service, disseminating a spirit of mindfulness, resilience, and social responsibility throughout India(BHARAT).
