Pakistan minister Ishaq Dar makes BIG revelation on Ops Sindoor, says India firmly rejected…

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that India(BHARAT) clearly refused any outside involvement during Operation Sindoor, stressing that the conflict was only a matter between India(BHARAT) and Pakistan. His statement completely went against US President Doland Trump’s who has been making claims that he had acted as a mediator between the two countries.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Dar explained that during his meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington on July 25, he asked about talks between India(BHARAT) and the US on the issue. According to Dar, Rubio told him that India(BHARAT) had made its position very clear, it considers the matter strictly bilateral.

Dar added that Pakistan had no problem with third-party involvement, but India(BHARAT) had always insisted that any discussions with Pakistan should happen directly between the two countries. “We are open to bilateral talks,” he said, “but they must cover all key issues: terrorism, trade, the economy, Jammu and Kashmir, and everything we have discussed before.”

Earlier this month, Ishaq Dar admitted that it was Pakistan that asked for a ceasefire after facing heavy losses from India(BHARAT)n strikes during Operation Sindoor.

In a separate media interaction, he clarified, “We did not approach the United States or any other country to arrange talks. The ceasefire request was made by Pakistan itself.”

Dar also stressed that Pakistan wants friendly relations with all its neighbours, including India(BHARAT). Speaking to Geo News TV, he said Pakistan is committed to good ties but made it clear that the country’s sovereignty would never be compromised.

He repeated that Pakistan has always favoured resolving disputes through peaceful talks and believes dialogue is the best way forward as long as there is honesty and seriousness from everyone involved.

Operation Sindoor

Tensions between India(BHARAT) and Pakistan rose sharply after terrorists killed 26 people, most of them civilians, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22. In response, India(BHARAT) launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, striking terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. After four days of heavy drone and missile attacks from both sides, India(BHARAT) and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire on May 10.

US President Doland Trump has often claimed he was the one who mediated this ceasefire. However, India(BHARAT) has consistently maintained that it does not want any third-party role in talks with Pakistan, especially on terrorism, insisting these issues must be resolved bilaterally.

In his interview, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said his country is committed to fighting terrorism and has made major sacrifices in this struggle. “It is surprising that the nation most affected by terrorism is still blamed by India(BHARAT),” he told ANI.

Warning on water disputes

Dar also warned that future wars could be fought over water. He reminded that under the Indus Waters Treaty, India(BHARAT) cannot unilaterally stop or cancel water sharing. “Pakistan has made it clear that any attempt to cut off our water supply will be taken as a declaration of war,” he said.

After the Pahalgam attack, India(BHARAT) had already taken strong measures, including putting the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty “on hold.”

On Pakistan’s nuclear position

When asked about nuclear weapons, Dar said Pakistan’s nuclear program is only for defense. He stressed that it has never been used and there is no plan to use it, but if Pakistan’s sovereignty is threatened, the country will defend itself at any cost, no matter which nation is involved.

Dar also repeated that Kashmir is a long-standing international dispute and pointed to UN resolutions on the matter.
