‘I’m richer than Musk and Zuckerberg combined; No shortage of money for Jihad’: Masood Azhar’s audacious claim

New Delhi: An audio recording of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar has surfaced. Masood Azhar has described himself as the richest man in the world. He has also described himself as richer than Elon Musk and Facebook (now Meta) founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Masood Azhar has claimed that he is richer than both Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. “I got what I asked for Jihad. We have no shortage of money to buy weapons and guns. We have no shortage of money for Jihad.”

Connection to Delhi Blast

On November 10, a huge blast shook the Red Fort area in Delhi. The suspected suicide bomber, Dr Umar Mohammad, was associated with the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organisation, says the probe. After the blasts, it was revealed that both blast suspects, Umar Mohammad and Muzammil Shakeel, had travelled to Turkey before the Delhi blasts. It is also being said that they met with a Jaish-e-Mohammed handler in Turkey. A Jaish commander based in Afghanistan was operating them.

Asghar’s audio surfaced

Earlier, Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Mufti Abdul Rauf Asghar had also spewed venom. An audio of Jaish commander Abdul Rauf Asghar regarding jihad had surfaced in which Asghar had said, “Life is in jihad. Jihad will bring honour. Allah has said that this community will wage jihad.” Abdul Rauf Asghar is the mastermind of the flight IC814 hijacking case and is the brother of Masood Azhar.

Preparing a Women’s Brigade

On the one hand, Masood Azhar said in the audio that he had no shortage of money to buy weapons, while his brother spoke of jihad. Furthermore, Masood Azhar’s sister, Saeeda Azhar, is preparing to form a women’s brigade. This move is being seen as an attempt to re-strengthen Jaish’s terrorist network.

According to sources, the terrorist organisation is preparing to create a women’s wing. To this end, it is organising a special training camp in Karachi on November 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. This camp will focus on brainwashing poor and young women with radical ideology.
