Incomplete! US Justice Department acknowledges that documents disclosed in Jeffrey Epstein case are imperfect

New Delhi: The United States Justice Department has released thousands of documents from its investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. However, the Department acknowledged that its documents’ disclosure about Epstein was incomplete. The department signalled that hundreds of thousands more records will be released in the coming weeks. The files were being released in accordance with a congressionally set deadline.

Sexual Abuse Of Young Women And Underage Girls

The records arrived with public anticipation that they could offer the most detailed look yet at nearly two decades’ worth of government investigations into Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women and underage girls. The photos, call logs, grand jury testimony and interview transcripts are expected to give additional insight into Epstein’s ties with rich and powerful contacts.

Release Of Documents Long Been Demanded By Public

Under pressure from other Republicans, US President Doland Trump signed a bill on 19 November giving the Justice Department 30 days to release most Epstein-related files, including records about his death in jail. The bill passed with support from both parties despite months of opposition from President Trump and Republican leaders.

The release of documents has long been demanded by a public hungry to learn why a 2008 investigation against Epstein ended with a light plea deal. Epstein was charged again in 2019 but died in jail. His associate Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted in 2021 and sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Selected Information On Epstein Sex Scandal Released

The US Justice Department, on Friday, December 19, released all files related to the Epstein Sex Scandal. Earlier, 19 photos were released on December 12, in which Bill Gates was also seen.

On late Thursday night, December 18, 68 new photos related to the Epstein sex scandal were released by Democratic members of the US House Oversight Committee. Two photos show Microsoft founder, billionaire Bill Gates, with women.

Who Else Is Seen?

In addition, several other people are visible in the photos, including Google co-founder Sergey Brin, filmmaker Woody Allen, philosopher Noam Chomsky, former Trump advisor Steve Bannon, former US President Bill Clinton, pop singer Michael Jackson, Hollywood actor Chris Tucker, and British Prince Andrew.

It should be clarified that these photos do not necessarily mean that these individuals were involved in any wrongdoing. This information will only become clear after all Epstein files are released.
