India(BHARAT) expressed its protest to Bangladesh
Concerns have arisen about the security of the India(BHARAT)n mission under Muhammad Yunus’s rule. A day earlier on Wednesday, the India(BHARAT)n Foreign Ministry summoned Bangladesh High Commissioner in New Delhi Mohammad Riaz Hamidullah and lodged a formal diplomatic protest over threats to the India(BHARAT)n High Commission in Dhaka and inflammatory anti-India(BHARAT) statements.
The India(BHARAT)n Foreign Ministry stated that the ambassador in Dhaka was summoned specifically to draw attention to the activities of some extremist elements who had announced plans to create a security situation around the India(BHARAT)n mission in Dhaka. In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said, “India(BHARAT) completely rejects the false narrative being created by extremist elements regarding some recent incidents in Bangladesh. It is unfortunate that the interim government has neither conducted a thorough investigation nor shared any concrete evidence with India(BHARAT) regarding these incidents.”
