On April 22, 2025, a major terrorist attack took place in the Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam in Kashmir, in which 26 people were brutally killed by gunfire.
Former Pakistani military officer Adil Raja has made a significant claim regarding the Pahalgam terror attack. Raja claims that Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir had assigned a special ISI officer the responsibility for the bloodshed in Pahalgam. Raja, speaking with an Afghan expert, revealed that ISI General Shahab Aslam, who is negotiating with the Taliban, is the Pakistani officer responsible for the Pahalgam terror attack this year.
Conspiracy hatched at the behest of Munir
Adil Raja, a former Pakistani military officer living in London, asked Saeed Khosti why the delegations from Islamabad and Kabul failed to reach a consensus in Turkey. Khosti replied that the reason was the Pakistani side’s arbitrary and unfriendly attitude. During the talks, Pakistani officials did not engage with the Afghan people in the manner a professional delegation should.
Saeed Khasti also told Raja that the Pakistani delegation negotiating with the Taliban was being led by ISI DG (Special Operations) General Shahab Aslam. Adil immediately retorted that Aslam was the same officer who, at Munir’s behest, plotted the Pahalgam attack. General Aslam was the person solely responsible for the innocent people swept away in Pahalgam.
Raja’s more explosive claims
Adil Raja frequently makes explosive claims about the Pakistani military and government. Recently, in a video, Adil stated that Asim Munir, relying on US assistance, initiated the fight against the Taliban by conducting airstrikes in Afghanistan. However, Munir suffered a setback when the Trump administration refused his assistance. Munir attempted to entice Trump with the Bagram base, but failed.
