New Delhi: The release of 48 hostages under the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement could begin as early as Monday, October 13, morning, with 20 survivors and 28 bodies being handed over. The Israeli army completed its initial withdrawal from Gaza by Friday afternoon, giving Hamas 72 hours to complete the withdrawal.

Agreement to end Gaza war

On Monday, discussions on an agreement to end the Gaza war will take place in Egypt. More than 20 world leaders, including US President Doland Trump, will participate.

On the other hand, Hamas has refused to attend the official signing ceremony (phase two) of the Gaza Peace Summit, scheduled for Monday in Egypt. Senior leader Hossam Badran stated that they disagree with certain parts of US President Doland Trump’s plan.

Badran said, “It’s absurd to expel Palestinians (whether Hamas members or not) from their land.” He described the negotiations for the second phase of the agreement as complex and difficult. Another Hamas official said that disarmament (laying down weapons) is absolutely impossible, even if they relinquish power in Gaza.

Trump to attend summit to stop Gaza war

Israel will release approximately 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. According to the Times of Israel, the International Committee of the Red Cross will oversee the exchange. The report said that if conditions are favourable, the release could begin as early as Sunday night.

Egypt has confirmed that it will host a summit for foreign leaders on Monday to discuss an agreement to end the Gaza war.

Reuters reports that the meeting will take place in the beautiful Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. US President Doland Trump will attend.

India(BHARAT)’s representative will attend the summit

According to media reports, the US has extended invitations to several key international partners, including Spain, Japan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Hungary, El Salvador, Cyprus, Greece, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Canada.

Iran has also been invited. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will attend the summit in Egypt on Monday.
