Jaaved Jaaferi recalls first meeting with Michael Jackson: 'Watched him live with my 8-month pregnant wife'

With celebrity contestants and expert judges like Arshad Warsi, Malaika Arora, and Farah Khan, the upcoming episode will see talented dancer and Bollywood actor Jaaved Jaferi as a special guest on the show. Otherwise known for his acting in films like Dhamaal, Singh is Kinng, and 3 Idiots, Jaaved Jaaferi is also popular for his exceptional dancing skills. He was one of the first celebrities to start a dance reality show titled Boogie Woogie.

Jaaved during the special episode will be seen sharing some interesting details including his meeting with none other than the legendary Michael Jackson.

While applauding a contestant after his performance, Jaaved Jaaferi recollected his tribute to Michael Jackson and shared the moment when he got the chance to meet MJ. The actor-dancer also shared how he once watched Jackson’s live performance with his eight-month-pregnant wife.

“There was an award function in New York where he was being honoured by the Indian society. He came on the stage and there was no one except me as I was hosting the show. At that moment as he came up, I was like ‘I won’t let him go’ and I asked ‘Can I give you a hug?’ and he said ‘Yes, of course’. He lovingly hugged me. It was a very special moment because Michael Jackson hugged me. So it will remain with me forever. I introduced him on the stage and he said ‘Oh, you did a wonderful job. Thank you’. I said ‘It’s a big thing for me’. He is on a different level,” Jaaferi recalled.

When Jaaved Jaaferi watched MJ live with his pregnant wife

The Dhamaal actor also went on to talk about when he attended Jackson’s live performance in Mumbai with his wife.

“When Michael Jackson came to perform in Mumbai, my wife was eight months pregnant, however, she insisted on seeing the show live. She came with me in a heavily pregnant situation. We stood there in the front row cheering for him. So I remember my wife and I witnessed him perform during her pregnancy,” he said.
