Jubilee Hills Bypoll Results 2025: Congress candidate Naveen Yadav has secured the Jubilee Hills Assembly seat for the party, winning the crucial bypoll by a decisive margin of 24,729 votes. Yadav secured a total of 98,988 votes, while his nearest rival, Maganti Sunitha Gopinath of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), received 74,259 votes.
BJP’s Deepak Reddy Lankala was a distant third with 17,061 votes respectively, forfeiting his security deposit, according to Election Commission data.
The bypoll was necessitated by the death of BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath in June this year.
Earlier, Telangana Congress chief B Mahesh Kumar Goud hailed the party’s performance in the Jubilee Hills Assembly bypoll, terming it an endorsement of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy-led government’s performance in the southern state.
Talking to reporters in Nizamabad, Kumar asserted that the voters have K Chandrasekhar Rao-led BRS, and Congress’ success in the bypolls to Secunderabad Cantonment seat last year and Jubilee Hills now shows that the people are satisfied with CM Reddy’s leadership and the government’s welfare programmes.
“When BRS won zero seats in 2024 Lok Sabha elections, it was clear that it did not have any future in the state. BRS has failed to retain its seat now. The verdict of the people of Jubilee Hills is that BRS has no place in the state,” Goud said.
