‘Modi Nitish ji ke jodi hit ho gaeel..’: BJP hails ‘hit’ Modi-Nitish pair as NDA poised to sweep Bihar

Bihar Assembly Election Results 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hailed the ‘hit’ pair of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the latest trends showed the incumbent NDA heading towards a landslide victory in the Bihar Assembly Election on Friday.

Modi-Nitish jodi a ‘hit’ in Bihar

Sharing a video of PM Modi’s poll rally in Bihar, where he had asserted that the NDA would secure a historic, biggest-ever mandate in the state, BJP MP and national spokesperson Sambit Patra said the NDA had secured a “bumper” win in Bihar and the pair of PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar was a “hit” in the state.

“Bihar kein bumper heet ho gaeel, jodi modi nitish ji ke hit ho gaeel (Recorded a bumper victory in Bihar, Modi-Nitish’s pair has become a hit)” Patra wrote on X in Bhojpuri.

BJP’s chief spokesperson Anil Baluni also shared the same clip of PM Modi on X, and wrote that the NDA was heading towards a landslide victory in Bihar.

Similarly, other BJP leaders also hailed the NDA’s performance in the Bihar Assembly Election, stating that people have once again expressed their trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “development-focussed” politics.

BJP set to emerge largest party in Bihar

Their comments came as BJP was poised to emerge as the single-largest party in Bihar. The saffron party was leading on 94 out of the 101 seats it contested in the state, while its ally, Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal-United (JDU) was ahead in 84 seats.

The NDA was leading on a whopping 208 seats out of the total 243 assembly seats in Bihar, as the alliance headed towards a landslide victory in the state, in line with what several exit polls had forecasted.

‘Congress’ legacy lost under Rahul Gandhi leadership’

Meanwhile, another BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia took a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as the grand-old party put up a dismal performance in the Bihar assembly polls, saying the party has lost its legacy and credibility under Gandhi’s leadership. “Rahul’s gift to the Congress on Nehruji’s birth anniversary: 95 losses again and again! Legacy Lost, credibility lost Too!,” Bhatia posted on X.

Gopal Krishna Agarwal, another BJP national spokesperson, hailed the NDA’s poll performance in Bihar, saying that the people of the state have once again expressed their trust in PM Modi’s development-focused politics. “People also want to ensure their participation in this journey of development. That’s why they have chosen the NDA,” he wrote.

BJP IT department head Amit Malviya took a swipe at the RJD leadership, saying, “Both of Lalu’s sons are trailing at this moment,” he wrote on X, adding that even after 20 years, the echo of “jungle raj” can still be heard in Bihar, he said on X.

Bihar Assembly Election was held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with the state witnessing a record-breaking voter turnout of 67.13 percent.
