LPG Price Cut: Commercial LPG cylinders will now cost less, providing significant relief to businesses in the hospitality and food industries.
LPG Cylinder Price Cut: The state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) have cut the rates of LPG cylinders that are used for commercial purposes. The cylinder will now be available at a cheaper rate, bringing a major relief to the hospitality and food sectors. The revised prices came into force from Saturday, November 1. Notably, restaurants, hotels, and catering services are heavily dependent on these commercial cylinders for their daily operations.
Why OMCs Cut LPG Prices?
From November 1, the commercial cylinders have become a little cheaper. The revised cost of 19 kg gas cylinders in Delhi is Rs 1,590.50.
Earlier, the 19 Kg commercial LPG gas in Delhi costed Rs 1,595.50. Hence, the price was lowered by Rs 5 per commercial cylinder.

In Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai, the 19 Kg Commercial LPG Gas’s revised prices is Rs 1694, Rs 1542 and Rs 1750 per cylinder, respectively.

No, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders remain the same. The OMCs have not announced any changes in the prices.

LPG Gas Cylinders Price Hike
The OMCs had increased the prices of the commercial LPG gas cylinders in September. The price of commercial gas cylinder was increased by Rs 15.50. After the price cut, businesses related to food and hospitality will get some relief.
In Mumbai, a price of a commercial LPG cylinder was Rs 1547.00 in October. In other cities, such as Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai, the cylinder costed Rs1595.50, Rs1700.50 and Rs1754.50 per cylinder, respectively.
Government’s Move To Provide Affordable LPG
In August, the Union Cabinet approved LPG subsidy to OMCs including India(BHARAT)n Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum. The government provided a subsidy of R 30,000 crore.
The decision was taken to provide affordable LPG gas amid the ongoing geopolitical situation.
