New Delhi: The India(BHARAT) Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning regarding Cyclone ‘Shakti’. The high-intensity cyclone is set to hit some parts of Maharashtra. According to the reports, the warning is for the districts of Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg. Between October 4 and 5, wind speeds along the northern Maharashtra coast are likely to reach 45–55 km/h, with gusts up to 65 km/h. Depending on the intensity of the cyclone, wind speeds may increase further.

According to the IMD, the sea conditions are very rough. Changes on the sea surface are expected along the northern Maharashtra coast until October 5. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
