Mark Cuban has more sharp words for Elon Musk

While Tesla CEO Elon Musk has his fair share of both fans and haters, there's something a little more complex about his relationship with fellow billionaire and Cost Plus Drugs owner Mark Cuban.

Maybe it's that Cuban sometimes seems to be trying to be helpful to Musk, tagging him to tell him that medications he wanted are available, while the rest of the time raking him across the coals for the way he runs X.

In the latest chapter of this riveting saga, Cuban reshared a tweet that showed the changes Musk made to X in how it identified content previously deemed misinformation. The terms listed included Covid19, Covid 19 vaccine, French election, Brazilian election, Philippine election and U.S. election.

Cuban hopped into the comments to weigh in, saying that misinformation is not the problem but the inability to avoid it is, and "that's what drives users away from this platform. ... [No] user of a social platform ever said they wanted to see misinformation when they opened an app."

In the same thread, Cuban aimed his criticism at Musk yet again, saying, "He who controls the algorithm controls the platform. You will see what he wants you to see and then, and only then, will your speech be your own."

Another X user asked Cuban: "Lots of talk about X. But no issue with Tik tok?" to which Cuban replied, "Tons of issues."

Cuban has never been shy about calling out the problems he's seen with X, the former Twitter, since Musk took over the platform in October 2022.

That's possibly because despite his open dislike of many of Musk's choices, Cuban is still a paying user with Verified status. And he also uses the platform regularly to promote Cost Plus Drugs to his 8.8 million followers.
