Everyone associated with the film industry focuses on building a career in it. This is why many star kids are launched every year. In the last few years, many star kids, including Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and Ahaan Pandey, have begun their acting careers. However, some star kids in the industry have made their mark outside the acting world. Today, we will tell you about one such star kid who chose not to become an actor or director but to serve the country and today serves the nation as an IAS officer. We are talking about IAS officer Shrutanjay Narayanan, son of Tamil comedian Chinni Jayanth.

Chinni Jayanth is a big star of Tamil cinema

Chinni Jayanth, also known as Krishnamurthy Narayanan, is a well-known name in Tamil cinema and has worked with many major superstars. Chinni Jayanth began his career in 1980 and quickly earned a place in the hearts of audiences as a comedy actor. He remains renowned for his comic timing and is a popular comedian. However, Shrutanjay chose to serve the nation over acting.

Shrutanjay Narayanan chose administrative service

Shrutanjay is one of the few star kids in the film world who chose a career other than acting and cinema. Raised in a film-oriented environment, Shrutanjay decided to pursue a career in the administrative services and fulfilled his resolve. He graduated from Guindy College of Engineering and then earned a master’s degree from Ashoka University.

Cracked UPSC in the second attempt

After completing his master’s degree, Shrutanjay worked for a while at a startup, but he always aspired to become an IAS officer. To fulfill this desire, he continued his studies while working and secured the 75th All India(BHARAT) Rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2015.

Shrutanjay currently serves as the Sub-Collector in Tiruppur district, Tamil Nadu. Previously, he served as Additional Collector in Villupuram district, implementing several development schemes in rural areas.
