Hailing from Kerala, Pillai is the 2d of four sisters. She got married on the age of 17 and had a daughter named Kavitha at 22. She later got a divorce at 24. She started working as a hairstyle and makeup artist. That gave the impression to be her calling.  Pillai boasts of working for FDCI’s India Fashion Week in 1999-2000. Post that, she has worked with big names  from Rohit Bal, Sushmita Sen, Sonam Kapoor etc.

Things took a success when she was once diagnosed with cancer in 2017. Now now not only that, bit she was once also cheated by her friend and a business partner. “I in truth have learnt my lessons the hard way, yet I am now not disillusioned by people,” she told The Weekend Leader.

Years into the business, she took place to notice discrepancies in the accounts.
