Billionaire Mukesh Ambani will arrive in Gaya Ji in Bihar on Friday where he will perform ‘Pind Daan’ and other rituals for his ancestors and pray for their salvation, while President Droupadi Murmu will also embark on a day-long visit of the holy city on Saturday.

Mukesh Ambani to perform ‘Pind Daan’ in Gaya Ji

According to reports, Mukesh Ambani and family will fly to Gaya Ji in their private jet, arriving at the Gaya International Airport, from where they they will head to the Shri Vishnupad Temple in city to perform ‘Pind Daan’– a Hindu ritual for salvation of one’s ancestors– and other rituals.

The Ambani family will stay in Gaya Ji for a few hours and later head back to Mumbai aboard their private aircraft, as per media reports.

Why President Murmu is visiting Vishnupad Temple?

Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu will embark a day-long visit to Gaya Ji in Bihar on Saturday and perform puja at the Shri Vishnupad Temple there. “The President of India(BHARAT), Smt Droupadi Murmu, will visit Gaya, Bihar, tomorrow (September 20, 2025) to perform puja at the Shri Vishnupad Temple,” according to an official statement issued by the President’s office on Friday.

Reports suggest that President Murmu will also perform Pind Daan and Tarpan rituals at the Phalgu River in the Vishnupad Temple complex.

The President will arrive at Gaya International Airport on a special flight from Delhi, and after a Guard of Honor ceremony, head to Vishnupad Temple complex under heavy security, where she will perform Pind Daan and other rituals for the salvation of her ancestors, reports said.

As per administrative sources, the President will arrive in Gaya Ji at 9 AM on Saturday morning, and depart for Delhi at 12 noon after performing the rituals at the Vishnupad Temple.
