Mysterious illness spreading in world! Cases increase in India, this country declares epidemic, shuts down schools, it’s name is…

Influenza has caused widespread alarm across Japan and several Asian countries as hospitals are seeing a daily surge in flu patients. Japan has declared a nationwide influenza epidemic, five weeks earlier than expected, due to a record increase in infections. India(BHARAT) too is witnessing a rapid rise in flu cases.

Japan Flu Outbreak

The world is currently gripped by fears of influenza. The growing number of patients has forced Japan to officially announce an epidemic. Not only Japan but several other nations are also facing a severe outbreak of the influenza flu. In India(BHARAT) as well, cases have been increasing.

The flu is primarily affecting younger individuals, beginning with symptoms like fever, cough, and throat irritation, and quickly leading to overall weakness. As a result, hospitalizations have sharply risen in several countries.

Why Japan Declared An Epidemic

Japanese health authorities reported a record surge in influenza cases about five weeks earlier than usual, prompting the declaration of a nationwide epidemic. This is only the second time in the past two decades that influenza has spread so rapidly in Japan. Between September 22 and 28, more than 4,000 people were treated for flu.

Schools And Childcare Centers Closed

Between September 29 and October 5, the number of flu patients rose further to over 6,000, averaging 1.56 patients per institution, more than double the 0.77 reported during the same period last year. From September 22 to October 3, about 135 schools and childcare centers across Japan were closed and several times higher than last year’s figures. Out of Japan’s 47 prefectures, 28 have reported rising flu cases, with Okinawa being the worst affected.

In North India(BHARAT), the H3N2 virus, a descendant of the strain that caused the 1968 Hong Kong flu pandemic has become a growing concern.
