New Delhi: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza. Netanyahu met with US President Doland Trump in Washington, DC, on Monday, September 29. The two leaders then held a press conference to discuss the matter. Trump has prepared a 20-point plan for a ceasefire.

Trump stated that if Hamas doesn’t agree to this plan, Israel has the right to destroy it, and the US will support it. Netanyahu stated, “There will be a peaceful administration in Gaza. All Hamas weapons will be removed, and Israel will gradually withdraw from Gaza.”

20 points of Trump’s Gaza ceasefire plan

Trump stated in a press conference that this plan proposes stopping the war in Gaza, releasing all hostages, and establishing a temporary board to administer Gaza. This board will be chaired by Trump and will also include former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

1. Immediate Cessation of War – If Israel and Hamas reach an agreement, the war in Gaza will end immediately.
2. Israel Withdrawal – Upon agreement, Israel will gradually withdraw its forces from Gaza.
3. Release of Hostages – Hamas will release all Israeli hostages, both dead and alive, within 72 hours.
4. Release of Prisoners – Upon the end of the war, Israel will release 250 people serving life sentences in Gaza and 1,700 other prisoners.
5. Body Exchange – For every dead Israeli prisoner, the bodies of 15 dead Palestinian prisoners will be returned.
6. Making Gaza Terror-Free – All Hamas bases and weapons will be removed from Gaza.
7. Hamas Not Included in Administration – Hamas and other militias will not participate in the Gaza government.
8. Interim Administration Committee – A temporary technical committee for Gaza will be formed, composed of qualified individuals.
9. Peace Board – This board will be chaired by US President Trump and will include Tony Blair and leaders from other countries.
10. Reconstruction Plan – The board will plan and fund Gaza’s development and improvement.
11. Humanitarian Aid – Adequate aid will be provided to Gaza immediately.
12. Special Trade Zones – Special trade zones will be established in Gaza, which will increase employment.
13. People’s Freedom – No one will be forced to leave Gaza; anyone who wishes can leave and return.
14. Security Forces – An international security force will maintain security in Gaza.
15. Police Training – Security forces will train and assist the Gaza police.
16. Border Security – Security will be strengthened along the borders with Israel and Egypt.
17. Cessation of hostilities – Airstrikes and shelling will cease until the war ends.
18. Ensuring human rights – International organizations will monitor aid and security in Gaza.
19. Peace negotiations – Peace negotiations will begin between Israel and Palestine.
20. Future plan – This plan aims to bring lasting peace, development, and a better life to Gaza.

President Trump has given Hamas 3-4 days to join his peace proposal. While leaving the White House, he said that Israel and several Arab countries agree with the plan, but Hamas has not yet responded.
