New Delhi: Pakistan on Tuesday, 30 September 2025, test-fired its indigenously developed cruise missile, the Fatah-4, which can hit targets up to 750 km. The Pakistani Army claimed that the test of the Fatah-4 missile was successful. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani Army, said in a statement that the missile, with a range of 750 km, was launched. This missile is considered a threat to India(BHARAT)n military bases located along the Pakistani border. Furthermore, it can also target India(BHARAT)n airbases and strategically important installations.
What did the Pakistani Army say?
According to the Pakistani Army, “This weapon system, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, is capable of evading enemy missile defence systems and hitting targets with high precision.” According to the statement, as part of the ‘Army Rocket Force Command’, the Fateh-4 will “further enhance the reach and lethality of the Pakistani Army’s conventional missile systems.” Senior officers, scientists, and engineers from the Pakistan Armed Forces were present during the missile launch.
How powerful is the Fateh-4 missile?
Pakistan has designed the Fatah-4 missile for long-range precision strikes against strategic targets. The Fatah-4 missile has a range of 750 km. It can reach speeds of Mach 0.7 (865 kmph) during flight. The most significant feature of the Fatah-4 missile is its circular error probability (CEP). The Fatah-4 can hit its target with an error of just 4 meters, which is considered very low for Pakistani missiles.
Evade enemy radars
It is described as a weapon that is capable of evading enemy air defences through terrain-hugging flight and striking targets with high precision. It said the missile will “enhance the reach, lethality and survivability” of its conventional missile systems. It can carry a payload of 330 kilograms. The missile is 7.5 meters long and weighs 1530 kilograms.
