‘No Brahmins, Muslims, Christians, are allowed in the RSS, only Hindus…’: Mohan Bhagwat

New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has made a major statement. After addressing a two-day lecture in Bengaluru titled “100 Years of Sangh Yatra: New Horizons,” Mohan Bhagwat answered some questions. He was asked whether Muslims are allowed in the RSS. In response, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that no Brahmin is allowed in the RSS. No other caste is allowed in the RSS. No Muslim is allowed in the RSS. No Christian is allowed in the RSS; only Hindus are allowed in the RSS.
Who can attend the shakha?
Mohan Bhagwat said that, therefore, people from different sects, whether Muslim, Christian, or any other sect, can join the RSS, but they should keep their religious identity out. Your uniqueness is welcome, but when you come to the branch, you come as a son of Bharat Mata, a member of this Hindu society. Muslims come to the branch, Christians come to the branch, and all other castes of what is called Hindu society also come to the branch. But we do not count them, nor do we ask who they are. We are all sons of Bharat Mata. This is how the Sangh works. The RSS chief’s statement has received numerous reactions on social media.

Bhagwat explains the Sangh’s goal
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that we want to unite, organise, and impart virtues to the entire Hindu society so that they can build a prosperous and strong India(BHARAT) that imparts the knowledge of Dharma to the world and makes the world happy, joyful, and peaceful. This part of this work has to be done by the entire society, the entire nation. We are preparing Hindu society for this. This is our sole goal, the only goal. After achieving this goal, we do not want to do anything else. Our task is to organise the entire Hindu society. We will accomplish this, and an organised society will do the rest. Our mission, our goal, is an organised, empowered Hindu society.
