‘No proof he is alive’: Imran Khan’s son demands proof from Pakistan government of his being alive

New Delhi: Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s younger son, Qasim Khan, has demanded proof from the government that his father is alive. Qasim stated that the Pakistani government is keeping his father in isolation in prison. No family member is being allowed to meet Khan. Qasim stated that he has no proof that Imran Khan is alive. Qasim, who lives outside Pakistan and away from politics, said that if anything happens to his father, the Pakistani government will be responsible.

We have no evidence of his life: Imran Khan’s son

Qasim posted a lengthy post on X on Thursday evening, November 27. He wrote, “My father has been under arrest for 845 days. For the past six weeks, he has been kept in solitary confinement in a death cell with zero transparency. His sisters have been denied every visit, even with clear court orders allowing access. There have been no phone calls, no meetings and no proof of life. Me and my brother have had no contact with our father. This absolute blackout is not a security protocol. It is a deliberate attempt to hide his condition and prevent our family from knowing whether he is safe. Let it be clear: the Pakistani government and its handlers will be held fully accountable legally, morally and internationally for my father’s safety and for every consequence of this inhumane isolation. I call on the international community, global human rights organisations and every democratic voice to intervene urgently. Demand proof of life, enforce court ordered access, end this inhumane isolation and call for the release of Pakistan’s most popular political leader who is being held solely for political reasons.”

There have been no phone calls, meaning we have no evidence of his life. My brother and I have also been unable to contact our father.

Hint of conspiracy

Qasim stated that the complete blackout and denial of access to Imran Khan is not a security protocol. It appears to be a deliberate attempt to conceal his condition and prevent our family from knowing about his health and safety. This raises questions about whether he is even safe.

Qasim further stated, “The Pakistani government and its handlers will be fully responsible, legally, morally, and internationally, for my father’s safety and for all consequences of this inhumane isolation. I appeal to the international community, global human rights organizations, and every democratic voice to intervene immediately.”
