Delhi terror update: In a significant update amid the ongoing investigations into the Delhi bomb blasts, the Delhi Police Special Cell has uncovered another terror module linked to Pakistan. In the recent update from the national capital, the police have arrested three individuals who were working under Pakistani national Shahzad Bhatt, believed to be acting on behalf of Pakistan’s intelligence agency.
Additional CP Pramod Kumar Kushwaha said at a press conference that the arrested men were involved in a recent attack in Punjab. On the 25th, they allegedly threw a hand grenade outside the Gurdaspur City Police Station. Police confirmed that the same group carried out the attack and has now been caught.
The arrested accused are Hargunpreet Singh from Punjab, Vikas Prajapati from Datia in Madhya Pradesh, and Arif from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh. They recently threw a hand grenade in front of the Gurdaspur City Police Station on the 25th. All three were reportedly following direct instructions from Bhatt, who is operating from abroad.
“We recovered a pistol with 10 live cartridges from Vikas Prajapati. We also recovered electronic evidence, such as recce videos, chats, and voice notes”, Pramod Kumar Kushwaha, Additional CP, Special Cell, Delhi Police, said in a press conference.
Kushwaha said this breakthrough exposes how gangsters and criminals in India(BHARAT) are being used by foreign handlers to carry out targeted strikes. The discovery of this module is expected to help the ongoing investigation into the Delhi blasts as police look for wider links.
