Pakistan’s return gift to Turkey! which supported them against India during Operation Sindoor, offers 1000 acres of land for…, to set up…
After Operation Sindoor, there is another attempt by Pakistan to turn Turkey to their side, but this time it's through a land deal.

Pakistan has offered Turkey 1,000 acres of free land in the Karachi Industrial Park to set up an Export Processing Zone (EPZ). The goal is to attract Turkish investment and boost bilateral trade to $5 billion. The zone will provide companies with tax exemptions, affordable facilities, and export incentives.
Pakistan Offers 1000 Acres Land To Turkey
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government made this offer to Turkey for building the new EPZ in Karachi Industrial Park. The initiative is to encourage Turkish companies to invest in Pakistan. Pakistan wants to raise trade between the two nations to $5 billion. Turkey supported Pakistan during the India(BHARAT)-Pakistan conflict in May at the time of Operation Sindoor.
Shehbaz Sharif had made this land offer to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during their April 2025 meeting. Recently, a Pakistani delegation visited Turkey to study its export zones and understand how Turkey handles investors. Earlier, these zones were government-run in Turkey, but now private companies manage them. Investors there enjoy 20 years of tax holidays, affordable land, and uninterrupted access to utilities like electricity and water.
Will It Benefit Pakistan?
Pakistan wants to replicate a similar model in Karachi. According to media reports once the EPZ is established, goods can easily be shipped from Karachi to Central Asia and the Gulf countries. If Turkish companies manufacture products in this zone, their transport costs will go down from $4,000 per ton to about $1,000 per ton.
Pakistan is also planning to strengthen trade agreements with Turkey and sign a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This new zone could prove mutually beneficial for both Pakistan and Turkey, helping boost trade to new heights.
