PlayStation Black Friday Sale Live Soon: PS5, PS VR2, and DualSense controllers get big discounts in India
Sony has announced its Black Friday sale in India with major discounts on the PS5, DualSense controllers, PS VR2, PlayStation Portal and top game titles, available across online and offline retailers.
The calm before the online shopping stampede has started, and PlayStation has a message for gamers in India(BHARAT). Sony has announced that its Black Friday sale will run from November 21 to December 4, with discounts on consoles, games and accessories.
Leading the line-up is, of course, the console itself: the slim version of the PlayStation 5 (disc version) and the digital-only version will see ₹5,000 off. That’s a price drop from ₹54,990 to ₹49,990 for the physical edition and ₹49,990 to ₹44,990 for the digital version.
On top of the console: Peripherals and games get a boost
In addition to the PS5 console, PlayStation’s DualSense controller gets a ₹2,000 discount, while the premium DualSense Edge wireless controller gets a ₹3,000 discount.
VR makes an appearance as well: the PS VR2, with an original price tag of ₹44,999, will be available for ₹34,999 with a ₹10,000 discount. That’s a good opportunity to get into PlayStation’s VR if you’ve been thinking about it.
The remote play gaming device PlayStation Portal also has a discount and will be available for ₹16,990.
Discounted prices also apply to a number of popular physical games, including blockbusters such as Marvel’s Spider‑Man 2 and God of War Ragnarök and indies such as Astro Bot. Price cuts vary.
Why this matters? and what to keep an eye out for..
This is a pleasant moment for India(BHARAT)n gamers: until now, PlayStation’s consoles have been pretty sticky on price points, but are now getting significant discounts. So if you’ve been waiting to buy a PS5 because you’ve been thinking the console was a little pricey, the next couple of weeks might be a good time to bite the bullet. Accessories and bundle titles are also good deals.
A few disclaimers:
The sale is for online and offline authorised retailers, so is available at physical stores as well as on e-commerce sites.
The time period is not huge (just under two weeks), so there will be an advantage to those who look early.
Stock could start to get tight on some editions if there is big demand for the most popular SKUs in a high-visibility promotion like this one.
As ever, ensure that you’re buying from official channels and models (check for the particular console model numbers that Sony has highlighted: CFI-2008A01X and CFI-2008B01X).
Final word
So if you’ve been sitting on the fence in India(BHARAT) and gaming is your thing, Sony’s Black Friday sale on PlayStation consoles, games and accessories might just provide the nudge you need. From the core console to controllers and beyond, it’s a PlayStation-wide sale, and you could find significant savings if you get on it early.
