Prime Minister Narendra Modi turns 75 on September 17, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing to mark the day with big celebrations and public service drives across the country. On his birthday, PM Modi will travel to Madhya Pradesh, where he will lay the foundation stone for the new ‘PM Mitra Park’ and start several new programs. During his visit to Dhar district, he will launch two major campaigns: ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar’ (Healthy Women, Empowered Families) and the eighth ‘Rashtriya Poshan Maah’ (National Nutrition Month).
Along with this, BJP-led state governments across India(BHARAT) have also planned special events and welfare schemes to celebrate the Prime Minister’s milestone birthday in a grand way.
PM Modi’s 75th birthday: Here’s how BJP plans to celebrate
A national award-winning film, Chalo Jeete Hain, based on an incident from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s childhood, will be shown in thousands of schools and cinema halls across the country for the “silent heroes” of society.
As part of the birthday celebrations, a two-week campaign called Sewa Pakhwada will be held. It will include blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, exhibitions showcasing PM Modi’s work, and public discussions.
In Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s government will launch 75 new development and welfare projects between September 19 and October 2 under the Sewa Pakhwada drive. PM Modi will also transfer funds under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana directly into the bank accounts of eligible women across India(BHARAT). In addition, he will introduce the Suman Sakhi Chatbot, designed to spread awareness about maternal and child health and give reliable information to pregnant women, especially in rural and remote areas.
BJP’s Yuva Morcha (youth wing) will organise ‘Namo Yuva run’ across 75 cities, with more than 10,000 participants in each rally.
Union Minister Amit Shah will announce 15 new projects at an event in Delhi’s Thyagraj Stadium. These include new hospital blocks, 101 Arogya Mandirs, 150 dialysis centres, 75 drones for policing, and the foundation stones for two waste-to-energy plants. The Delhi Fire Service will also add 24 Quick Response Vehicles to deal with emergencies in traffic-heavy and fire-prone areas.
The BJP’s Bihar unit has started the Chalo Jeete Hain Rath Yatra from Patna, with 243 decorated vehicles, one for each assembly constituency, spreading awareness about the NDA government’s achievements.
In Gujarat, the State Yoga Board will pay tribute to PM Modi with a large-scale campaign against obesity. Chairman Shishpal Singh Rajput said that 75 special yoga and diet programmes will be held at 75 locations across the state. The goal is to help around 10 lakh people in 33 districts manage their weight and improve their health.
The Jammu and Kashmir unit of the BJP has completed preparations for the two-week-long Sewa Pakhwada 2025, which will begin on September 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday.
The state party president urged all district and Mandal-level leaders to actively involve youth, women, and marginalised communities to make the campaign a big success. The main aim of the drive is to ensure that every BJP Mandal unit in J&K carries out the activities in a well-planned and effective manner.
In Pune, Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation and local MP Murlidhar Mohol is planning a grand drone laser show to celebrate PM Modi’s birthday and highlight his achievements over the past 11 years. The show, titled “Jyotine Tejachi Aarti”, will be held as a special tribute to the PM. Mohol said this will be the first time such a drone show is being organised in Maharashtra, similar to the ones earlier held in Ayodhya and Varanasi.
The Varanasi Municipal Corporation has announced plans to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth Rs. 111 crore on Modi’s 75th birthday. To mark the occasion, the civic body will also cut a 75-kg cake, Varanasi Mayor Ashok Tiwari said on Tuesday. PM Modi represents the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency.
