Prasanth Varma Breaks Silence on Rumoured Tiff With Ranveer Singh Over ‘Rakshas’: ‘No One Tries to Impose…’

At last, director Prasanth Varma addressed the reported falling out between him and Ranveer Singh about ‘Rakshas.’ The renowned South Indian filmmaker of HanuMan has been in the spotlight ever since his film became a hit. Prasanth reportedly had another Telugu film planned but following Singh’s enthusiasm for ‘Rakshas,’ he put the former on hold. In a recent interview, the director refuted the rumours about their falling out. He attested to the fact that Singh did indeed visit his office with his ‘whole caravan’ and even conducted a look-test.

Speaking to Amar Ujala, Prasanth Varma said, “Yes, Ranveer Singh has his own style. He came to the office with a whole caravan. But, the way of working in the South is different. Here everyone works as a team. No one ever tries to impose any kind of authority on anyone.Speaking about the rumours of creative differences and prolonged shoot times (sic).”

“The talk of me taking three-four days to shoot for half an hour is unfounded. We completed his look test efficiently. I’m not sure where these rumours originated, and I prefer not to dwell on them (sic).”

Earlier it was reported that the producers of ‘Rakshas‘ were allegedly upset with actor Ranveer Singh over his sudden decision to withdraw from the movie. A source close to the production also revealed that the actor left the film without giving any reason, despite a previous story claiming that he and director Prasanth Varma parted ways over creative disagreements.

Ranveer Singh travelled to Hyderabad in April for a picture session intended to promote the movie, but there were issues with the announcement. It was said that the two had an amicable split up because of creative disagreements. Even while both of them had attempted to fix this before, it was not possible, reported Pinkvilla.
