‘Putin will not visit Pakistan because…’: Pakistani journalist’s hard-hitting statement

New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin is on a historic visit to India(BHARAT). This visit is special for both India(BHARAT) and Russia, and the whole world is watching it. Putin’s visit is being widely discussed in Pakistan. There is also disappointment in Pakistan that Putin has visited India(BHARAT) so many times but has never come to Pakistan. Not only Putin, but no Russian president has ever visited Pakistan, and Pakistanis deeply regret this.

Why does Putin never visit Pakistan?

Now, as Russian President Putin is visiting India(BHARAT), the question is again arising in the minds of the people of Pakistan: Why does Putin never come to Pakistan? However, many people in Pakistan know the bitter truth about their country, and even their Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, has said that our country’s friends don’t want us to go to them with a begging bowl.

Pakistani journalist and human rights activist Arzoo Kazmi also expressed her disappointment with the state of her country and said, “Why would Putin come to Pakistan to get his pocket picked?”

‘We will take everything just to show off’

Kazmi made this comment during an interview with Pakistani defence analyst Qamar Cheema. Qamar Cheema asked Arzoo Kazmi, ‘Why doesn’t Mr. Putin come to Pakistan? He passes over us so many times, we even whistle, but he doesn’t have any dealings with us. Why doesn’t he come to Pakistan? He laughs a lot with Mr. Modi.’

In response to Qamar Cheema’s question, Arzoo Kazmi said, “What business do we have with him? Why would we invite him? If he comes here, what will we tell him? To give us fighter jets, give us oil. Give it on credit or in instalments. Will we talk to him about this? When he goes to India(BHARAT), the talk will be about cash. Obviously, that’s why he goes to India(BHARAT). If they come to us, we’ll take everything too, whatever India(BHARAT) takes, we’ll take it too, just to show off. The only difference is that we won’t pay; we’ll take it on credit or say, ‘Just give it to us for free, we’re good people.'”

‘Who would come to Pakistan to get their pockets picked?’

Arzoo Kazmi, while satirising her country’s dire economic situation, further added, “Putin is probably not in the mood to give us things for free, that’s why he went to India(BHARAT), where they pay cash and take the goods. That’s why he doesn’t come here. The day we fix our economy and become capable of buying goods with cash, people will start coming here too. Until then, whoever comes here, we show them floods and earthquakes. We always keep saying that our situation is bad. Who would come here to get their pockets picked?”
